Delegations from Shanghai Cooperation Organization Member Countries Visited Hamadan University of Medical Sciences Yesterday as Part of a Scientific and Cultural Cooperation Program.
Delegations from Shanghai Cooperation Organization Member Countries Visit Hamadan University of Medical Sciences These delegations, led by Yuri Chertok, the head of the Intellectual Games of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member countries, met and discussed with Dr. Behrouz Karkhanai, the President of Hamadan University of Medical Sciences, along with several vice presidents and managers of the university. During this meeting, the scientific, sports, and health tourism capacities of Hamadan University of Medical Sciences were reviewed. Additionally, ways to attract international students and develop joint cooperation in educational, research, and medical fields between Hamadan University of Medical Sciences and the member countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization were discussed. Dr. Karkhanai emphasized the university’s readiness to expand international cooperation and utilize common capacities to enhance the scientific level and health services. He also mentioned the university’s programs aimed at attracting international students and developing health tourism infrastructure. Mr. Yuri Chertok, during this meeting, expressed gratitude for the hospitality of the people of Hamadan and emphasized the expansion of joint cooperation, particularly in health tourism, organizing sports events, and student exchanges. He also stated, “I hope to see the organization of the Global Humanitarian Games among students in Hamadan Province in the near future.” This visit is considered an important step in strengthening scientific and cultural relations between Iran and the member countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and it is expected that cooperation agreements in this regard will be signed in the near future.
