In 2011, this center was established following the request of medical faculty members of the physiology group at the Hamadan University of Medical Sciences

The Neuroscience Research Center aims to provide an appropriate framework for related research by establishing synergies between basic sciences and clinical practice. By providing new methods, it will take an effective step to improve the health of the community and promote the scientific development of the country. This center is also determined to use the findings of basic and clinical research in educational programs as a successful model in the field of education based on research in the country, and to establish contact with other centers of science and research and gain scientific credits from other programs in order to become one of the accredited research centers in the country.

The Neurophysiology Center of Hamedan University of Medical Sciences has research activities in various fields related to the functions of the nervous system using behavioral models and electrophysiology in the following laboratories.
